To strengthen our team we are looking for a passionate chemist with broad chemical insight, preferably a background in organic chemistry, and particularly strong analytical skills. You like taking up new chemical challenges. You are a creative, out-of-the-box thinker capable of translating concepts to practice. You will support our R&D team and help solving complex chemical problems for our customers. You will carry out experiments in the lab, write reports, participate in project teams and communicate results in a team-based environment. You have a degree in chemistry or equivalent by experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills (English) and the ability to function effectively in a team environment are essential. You will be employed in our modern facilities in Deinze.
Organic Chemist: Master or PhD
The successful candidate holds a Master or PhD degree in Organic Chemistry. Your task will consist of synthesizing small organic molecules on lab scale in an R&D environment: perform chemical reactions, analysis, isolations, separations, purifications and crystallization of the products; write concise procedures and reports to enable successful technology transfers; participate in project teams and communicate results in a team-based environment. The candidate will report to a Project Leader. Candidates must have a strong synthetic organic chemistry background and be able to carry out diverse chemical reactions. Expertise in analytical chemistry (HPLC, GC, IR) is a plus.
